On November 24, in Baden-Baden, on the territory of the church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, a charity bazaar was held for the sake of the care-receivers of the Russian Orthodox Diaconia “Good Deed”. After the Sunday Divine Liturgy, fresh hot pastries, pumpkin soup, pancakes, pies, sweets and hot drinks had been served to everyone. And on the shelves, the handmade products were waiting for the visitors: knitted socks and hats, handmade soap, lavender sachets, Christmas gift boots, exclusive print bags, women’s jewellery, cookies, honey, jam, books, rag dolls, handmade angel figures made by our parish children at Sunday school.

In the previous month, with your help, we were able to pay a year stay at the clinic for family of Dima Sherstobaev, 10 years old, oncology, and also get funding for treatment from the charity funds for Kirill Gorokhov, 3 y.o., VPS, Stepan Tyshkov, 10 y.o, a rare vessel pathology, Ruslan Varushin, 2 years, kidney cancer, Arina Goncharova, 5 y.o., kidney cancer, Svetlana Zakharyan, 3.5 y.o., oncology, Daniil Lihodeenko, 7 y.o., a complex CNS malfunction, for a total sum of about EUR 75,000.

We are glad to report that the rehabilitation education center Dobro More has successfully started its activities – the recent dream has already come true. From Oct 12 till 22, the first program period – the very first one – has taken place. There where 4 families of care-receivers coming from Murmansk, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kyev; 12 volunteers and 7 professionals from Russia and Germany have been employed.

We visited a wonderful place and participated in a magnificent program called “DobroMore”. The program is organized by the Russian Orthodox Diaconia “Good Deed.” They invited us to Montenegro, organized everything from arrival to departure, they thought out everything to the smallest detail. It’s hard for me to imagine how many months the team worked on preparation of our 6 days going so great. Read more
