MAY 2019
I congratulate you all with the Luminous Easter! Let us participate in this victory of Life over the death!
Dear friends, in last month we have accepted 20 new requests for help while going on working on the previous ones. Our volunteers organize the search for proper clinics, the arrival to the country, translations of the medical documents, the support of the German funds, and the various assistance on the spot.
Owing to your ongoing support, we were able to help financially to several families, this counts the costs of the flight for urgent kidney transplant surgery to Rosa Knezevic as well as help to pay for the housing and treatment of our care-receivers Abdullina Adelina, 4 years old, leukemia, Alice Terekhova, 13 years old, ganglioglioma relapse, Sofia Dukashova, 8 years old, leukemia.
Thank you for your support and your kind hearts!
Our care-receives in May:
THE DAY OF THE ORTHODOX VOLUNTEER this year will be on July 6th.
We will meet in Krefeld from July 5 to July 7.
Volunteer’s Day theme in 2019 – New technologies in volunteer work.
We will share our experiences, discuss the current tasks, and establish new contacts. Special attention will be paid to recent technical developments, psychological methods, new concepts and findings. We expect very interesting speakers and guests from different countries and areas of activity.
Anyone who wants to make a contribution to helping one’s neighbor, regardless of experience or affiliation with any organization, can participate in the Volunteer Day. The participation of volunteers of our diaconial groups is strongly desirable!
Additional information and the link to the registration form can be found at our website: https://www.orthodiakonia.de/dv2019/ The registration must be completed before June 10th.
HURRY TO DO GOOD!
I warmly embrace everyone,
