Through the joint efforts of the entire parish of the Church of the Transfiguration in Baden-Baden, on November 25, our first charity bazaar of Diakonia Good Deed has taken place! The bazaar was held on the territory of the church with the support of our strong brethren and hospitable sisters. The bazaar featured a variety of handicrafts made by children of our parish Sunday School. We were also pleased with the handicraftswomen who brought with their masterpieces of knitting and sewing.
At the bazaar, one could purchase spiritual literature, handmade jewelry, various household utensils, fragrant soap and much more. A variety of pastries from pies to professionally cooked belyashi, hot waffles, cakes, pies and hot tea cakes gave the bazaar a particularly welcoming atmosphere. During the bazaar, our dear guests and parishioners were given a tour on the history of our church in Russian and German.
With God’s help, by joint efforts with the active participation of the parishioners and guests, we have raised 2,700 euros! All funds raised at the fair have been transferred to the Diakonia Good Deed to support the children in need.
